Special Lodge Bulletin

January 7, 2022

The Covid-19 situation is changing rapidly and since the virus still presents risks to fully vaccinated seniors, it is once again up to us to take care of our own. Please help, together we can batten down the hatches to ride this crazy storm out as safely as possible. As tired as we all are and as uncertain as we may be given the conflicting information that is being shared, we must set that aside. We need everyone to take things seriously and reduce whatever risk remains. This is a call to action in our lodges.

Please wear a medical-grade mask when you are not in your suite (except when eating and drinking). We are giving every resident a box of 50 medical-grade masks. If you do not wear the masks you do so at your own risk. Change masks before every meal.

Please reduce your contacts with others – it is the best way to reduce your risk. Please have only essential visitors in and only make essential trips out of the lodge. Remember to keep a distance from others when possible.

Please take your meals in your suite if you have not received a booster dose of vaccine. Tell the front desk what you decide to do about this.

You are legally required to screen yourself for symptoms every day. Please see the next page for a list of what to look for. If you have even the slightest new or worsening symptom, please remain in your suite except for medical-related trips out and tell via phone or emergency call system immediately (403-678-5922).

One of our Canmore employees is at home with Covid-19. They were last in the lodge Monday morning and so far, there is no sign of spread.

Three service partner employees have, or likely have Covid-19 and are isolating at home. They were in Cascade House this week. We are watching both lodges closely for any signs of spread and are implementing stronger precautions immediately.

Effective immediately we are cancelling group activities in our lodge, as well as hair appointments and other non-essential services. We are also increasing disinfection of the common areas beyond the legal requirements. Please do your part.

Thank you, this too shall pass, but with your help it will do so with fewer serious consequences.
